Check-in opens at 8:00 a.m. both days.
Meals
Breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks are provided in Building 5200, Upstairs Lobby. The Day 1 Poster Session and Data Viz Showcase at Building 5700 includes heavy hors d’oeuvres in lieu of dinner.
Facility Tours (Sign-Up Required)
Tours are available on both days and require advance sign-up at registration. Capacity is limited to 40 attendees per day on a first-come, first-served basis. Shuttle transportation is provided to and from all tour locations, and transit time is built into the schedule.
- Day 1 (3:30–4:45 p.m.): Graphite Reactor & Translational Research Capability (TRC)
- Day 2 (1:30–3:30 p.m.): Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) & High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR)
CAAR Workshop Attendees
The Discovery CAAR (Center for Accelerated Application Readiness) Workshop runs in parallel with Day 2 of the User Summit. CAAR attendees join the full Day 2 morning plenary program (Welcome, Discovery, AmSC & Lux, QCUP, Fireside Chat, and Morning Breakouts). A dedicated CAAR Workshop Afternoon Closed Session runs in parallel with the Day 2 facility tours and is open only to registered CAAR users and workshop registrants.
Building Transitions
Most sessions take place in Building 5200. The Day 1 Poster Session & Data Viz Reception is held in Building 5700, Court of Flags. A short walk or shuttle is available between buildings following the Day 1 afternoon tours.
Photography
A photographer will be on-site during the poster session and for the group photo. Photos may be used in OLCF and ORNL communications.
Optional Off-Site Social
An optional networking social follows Day 2 adjournment at The Greens, Oak Ridge, beginning at 4:30 p.m. on June 3.
