OLCF User Conference Call: aprun-usage module: Titan’s Turbo Switch

The OLCF has resumed the monthly User Conference Call. These calls, held at 12:30 PM Eastern Time on the first Tuesday of each month, are your opportunity to speak with center personnel to get the latest updates, express any concerns you may have, etc. Look for the announcement of the topic for the next call in your OLCF Weekly Update email. If you have a topic you would like us to cover please send it to [email protected].

Topic:

Are you running with 8 or less processes per Titan node? Is your code floating-point intensive? Your runtime could be suffering from the effects of unnecessary floating-point contention. The March 4th User call will tell you about the aprun-usage module designed to help you place your processes on the nodes in a manner that avoids floating-point contention and reduces operating system noise.

WebEx Instructions:

This call will be conducted via WebEx.  You can access WebEx at
