OLCF New Users Training

The Oak Ridge Leadership Computational Facility (OLCF) invites you to visit the most powerful computing complex in the world in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, for the Fall New User Training being conducted on October 8th, 2012. The goal of this training event is to provide introductory material to users who have little previous experience with the OLCF.  Topics will include basic utilization of the Oak Ridge leadership-class resources.  Experts from the OLCF will also be on hand to assist you and answer your questions on high-performance computing at the Oak Ridge complex.

In addition, you are invited to stay and participate in a two day Cray Technical Workshop on XK6 Programming (https://www.olcf.ornl.gov/event/cray-technical-workshop-on-xk6-programming/) on October 9-10, 2012.  ORNL and Cray will be hosting the workshop with the intent of bringing together users of XK6 systems around the world and share experiences. In addition to user talks, we will have expert panels covering programming models for the XK6 including OpenACC, Cuda, OpenCL, Cuda Fortran, etc.

Attendance for both events will be limited to 75 people, so please sign up early. The workshops will be held in the JICS auditorium on the ORNL campus and foreign nationals will need to submit visitor requests six weeks prior to the event.

Both events will be simultaneously webcast for those who are unable to attend in person.

Registration is required for both events.  Please indicate if you intend to participate in person or via webcast on the registration form.
