Monthly Topic: Common uses of node-local storage on Summit and some tools to help.
Speaker: Chris Zimmer, OLCF
Abstract: The Summit supercomputer contains in-compute node storage to help alleviate bottlenecks often associated with the parallel file system. In this talk, I will present information on the node-local storage devices and performance in Summit and similarly Frontier. I will describe the common use patterns that we have seen used to date and then provide information on both released and in-develop software libraries designed to help applications take advantage of this novel storage arrangement.
