About the Meeting

The Department of Energy’s Office of Science and National Nuclear Security Administration has asked the six laboratories (Argonne, Berkeley, Oak Ridge, Livermore, Los Alamos, and Sandia) to work together to engage the computing technology and systems vendor community to gather information related to future technologies and products that could be relevant to advanced computing ecosystem requirements for computational and data science approaches and solutions to DOE mission problems in the 2025-2030 timeframe. On June 28, 2022, a Request for Information (RFI) was issued to gather input from computing hardware and software vendors, system integrators, and other entities to inform how DOE and the Labs will approach the next generation of supercomputing systems.

Computing hardware and software vendors, system integrators, and other entities are invited to participate in a roundtable with the Labs to discuss priorities for future R&D investment and ways to improve vendor engagement and procurement models.

Objectives

• Discuss the recent RFI and timeline for next steps
• Seek feedback on R&D investment priorities
• Discuss issues with current vendor engagement and procurement models and explore potential solutions

Individual Vendor Sessions

Vendors are invited to register for 30 minute individual discussions with the Labs following the roundtable for private Q&A under NDA. Time slots are available during the afternoon of December 12 and on December 16.  Registered vendors will be contacted by a Lab representative to schedule an individual session.

Registration Deadline

All participants must register using the form below. Please note the following registration deadlines:

• Non-US Citizens
  • Non-US Citizens must register by November 11 
  • Non-US Citizens must respond to the PAS invitation sent from ORNL upon registration by November 15
• US Citizens
  • US Citizens must register by November 28
  • US Citizens must respond to the PAS invitation (if needed) sent by ORNL by November 30

In order to enable efficient processing of registrations, we request that vendors limit the number of participants per company to a reasonable number (ideally no more than five).
