CARLA 2020 –  GPU Accelerated Computing with OpenACC

This tutorial will introduce participants to GPU computing using the OpenACC programming model. Attendees will be given access to the OLCF’s Ascent system for a hands-on session. Ascent is an IBM 16-node POWER9 system, with 2 CPUs and 6 GPUs per node.

Registration for the hands-on component is required and must be submitted no later than September 10, 2020.

Prerequisites

  • Laptop/desktop with ssh client (to log in to remote system)
  • Basic familiarity with UNIX/Linux (e.g., to navigate the file system)
  • Familiarity with a command line text editor (e.g., vim, emacs, nano)
