Abstract: This call will introduce Job Step Viewer, a utility installed on Summit that can generate graphical views of an application’s run-time layout. For those that are new to Summit or launching compute jobs with jsrun, Job Step Viewer can help deepen understanding of resource sets and process placement. More experienced users may be interested in using Job Step Viewer to validate the extensive syntax used by Explicit Resource Files.

We will explore use of the Job Step Viewer tool with a variety of use cases, discussing when it’s likely most helpful, as well as what features are still under development.
