ORNL Quantum Systems & Software Workshop (OQSSw)
Join us for the first annual ORNL Quantum Systems & Software Workshop!
This hands-on workshop brings together labs, vendors, and academia to collaboratively refine a proposed Quantum/HPC hybrid software stack. Modeled after the HIP/GPU stack, the framework consists of:
- Application Layer – End-user quantum applications.
- Quantum Programming Interface – A unified interface for quantum programming, similar to HIP for GPUs.
- Tool Interface Layer – Manages optimization tools and pipelines for quantum tasks.
- Quantum Task Scheduling – Coordinates task execution across quantum and HPC resources.
- Quantum Platform API – A standardized interface for hardware vendors to integrate their systems.
Participants will engage in co-design sessions to vet the architecture, define common interfaces, and ensure seamless integration across layers. The goal is to create a practical, interoperable ecosystem for hybrid quantum-classical computing.
Agenda
The 2025 OQSSw agenda is coming soon.
