Kokkos Release Briefing 5.0 – November 2025

The Kokkos Team is inviting you to the Kokkos 5.0 release briefing.
The briefing will be held online on the 25th of November, at 11 AM ET / 9 AM MT / 5 PM CET and cover updates on changes in Kokkos from 4.7.

Kokkos Core Key Changes

• Kokkos now requires C++20
• Support for C++20 modules
• End of Makefile support
• Disable DEPRECATED_CODE_4 by default and begin removal of features deprecated in the 4.x series (e.g. Task DAG)

Kokkos Kernels Key Changes

• Clean code for CUDA 13 support.
• Adding documentation and examples on batched solver for general, banded and tridiagonal matrices.
• Large performance improvement in parILUt
• General clean-up of deprecated code and illegal names of macros
