Kokkos 4.5 Release Briefing
The Kokkos Team is inviting you to the Kokkos 4.5 release briefing.
The briefing will be held online on the 10th of December, 11 AM EST / 9 AM MST / 5 PM CET and cover updates on the Kokkos community and changes in Kokkos from 4.4.

Community Updates
- Kokkos is now officially a HPSF Established project
- Kokkos User group Meeting 2025 in conjunction with HPSF Conference
- Kokkos 5.0 release plan (C++ standard, interface updates and deprecations)
Kokkos Core Changes:
- SequentialHostInit view allocation property
- Support building Kokkos with Run-Time Type Information (RTTI) disabled
- Support of new macros for relocatable device code (needed for SYCL)
- Support unified memory architectures (APU, e.g. NVIDIA Grace Hopper, AMD Phoenix)
- Move SYCL out of the Experimental namespace
- Graphs enhancements
- Revert default memory allocation on CUDA to synchronous
- Occupation tuning for CUDA
- Deprecations in preparation for 5.0
Kokkos Kernels Changes:
- New batched dense BLAS functions
- Improved support for MAGMA TPL
- Improved convergence in ODE solver
- Deprecations in preparation for 5.0 release
