HOLA Hands-On Summit
HOLA Hands-On Summit
September 13, 1:00-4:00 pm EDT
About the Training
The Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) and the Hispanic and Latino Organization for Leadership and Awareness (HOLA) will host a hands-on training with the Summit supercomputer. Participants will learn about the Summit architecture, learn how research teams write programs for and run workloads on Summit, and get to work through fun challenge problems on their own on the Ascent training system (basically 1 cabinet of Summit). Come discover what it’s like to use one of the most powerful computers ever built!
This training is designed to be a beginning-level introduction to high performance computing. Participation may be limited to 100 individuals.
Prerequisites
All ages are welcome to attend but you must have the following:
- Laptop/desktop with ssh client (to log in to remote system)

If you would like to participate, please register below by September 2, 2021. We will invite the registered participants to request accounts on Ascent.
