Monthly Topic: Launching Jobs with jsrun
The OLCF IBM systems Summit and Summitdev use a new parallel job launcher named jsrun. Jsrun was developed by IBM for the Oak Ridge and Livermore systems. The new launcher provides similar functionality to other parallel job launchers (such as aprun and mpirun), but differs from these by requiring the user to take a slightly different approach in determining how to request and lay out resources for a job. This talk will give an overview of jsrun, provide layout examples, and introduce the concept of resource sets.
