The OLCF hosts monthly User Conference Call. These calls are your opportunity to speak with center personnel to get the latest updates, express any concerns you may have, etc. No registration is required for this event.

Monthly Topics:

1. DDT Tip:Finding memory leaks with DDT’s offline debugging

2. The OLCF HPSS new class of service for large files.
The OLCF HPSS now has a Redundant Array of Independent Tapes (RAIT) for new transfers of files that are 1 TB or greater in size. What this means is that all files 1TB or greater in size, will have automatic redundancy in the event of a tape failure. RAIT is more secure and uses less tape for large files to guarantee data redundancy than the old method of using dual copies.

Discussion Question:
What granularity of filesize do you use to move your data to the HPSS? Please use this poll to answer: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DBJ5FN5

Attend:  If you are at ORNL you may attend in person in  Bldg. 5600 Room C101.
