Project Description

Materials computations for CMOS transistor development is an area which is not yet the main-stream ab-initio computations. An industrial project of such nature can bring to the attention of the industry community involved in transistor development, the value of large scale computational resources, its usage by running simulation software that can demonstrate the scalability on various architectures, and thereby support large scale computing initiatives in future. Proposed computational milestones will reduce the trial and error wafer runs and provide a downstream learning plan with large computational time to parallel the efforts of the hardware team for a device design.
