Tim joined the Security and Information Engineering Group in October 2021 to enhance and support NCCS’s streaming telemetry platforms. As a member of the Analytics and Monitoring (AM) Team, he will strengthen and manage existing streaming and monitoring infrastructure and will install and operate Frontier’s IT Database to give decision makers and engineers better visibility into their systems and enable them to make more informed decisions.

He achieved his B.S. in Mathematics from Hardin-Simmons University in 2007. After graduating, he taught mathematics in Georgetown ISD. He then decided to pursue a second bachelors in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. After finishing this degree in 2011, he worked on High Performance Computing (HPC) in the oil and gas industry. While there, he optimized seismic processing algorithms, enabled machine learning and data analytics on an HPC cluster, and created a machine learning enabled seismic processing framework.
