Pete Eby is a systems architect for the Advanced Data Working Group (ADWG) team at Oak Ridge National Lab (ORNL).
The ADWG team facilitates access to ORNL’s Compute and Data Environment for Science (CADES) resources for multi-domain research and provides training, documentation, and technical consultation to researchers.
Pete served as the Scientific Platforms team lead for the R&D Linux team from 2014-2017. Prior to that he worked with the ORNL Distributed Active Archive Center (DAAC) for NASA’s Earth Observation Sciences program from 2010 to 2014.
Currently he maintains the tier 2 grid facility supporting ORNL’s participation in CERN’s ALICE project and is involved in deploying ORNL’s hybrid cloud services, upgrades to storage and data transfer systems, and user training.
