Background

Paul works on the HPC team of the High-Performance Computing and Data Operations group. He is a Systems Engineer whose focus is the integration and automation of new and emerging technologies into production environments. He has 20 years of experience in the HPC industry procuring, testing, and integrating these new technologies and collaborating with vendors to help improve their products.

Before joining ORNL, Paul worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) where he was the systems technical lead on the Trinity project. His other areas of interest are in the modernization of the HPC system software stack to improve the operational efficiency and reliability of our HPC platforms. Prior to his time at LANL, Paul worked at Joint Institute for Computational Sciences (JICS)/National Institute for Computational Sciences (NICS) and the Innovative Computing Laboratory (ICL).
