Background

Katie Lorentz Bethea coordinates the team of writers, artists, and web developers who create materials featuring breakthrough science enabled by the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility.

Katie first came to ORNL in 2014 to work as the communications team lead and lead science writer for the Neutron Sciences Directorate, which includes the Spallation Neutron Source and the High Flux Isotope Reactor.

Prior to joining the Neutron Sciences Directorate, Katie served as the communications lead for the Science Directorate at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, for almost 10 years.
