Kalyan Gottiparthi is a computational scientist in Advanced Computing for Life Sciences and Engineering group. In his current role, Kalyan works as a Liaison for combustion projects at OLCF. He engages with teams involved in ECP and INCITE projects.

Prior to joining ORNL, Kalyan was a Senior Research Scientist at Raytheon Technologies Research Center, East Hartford, CT where he developed computational tools and performed numerical simulations which support the research at Pratt and Whitney, Collins Aerospace and Raytheon Missiles and Defense. Before joining RTRC, Kalyan was a distinguished post-doctoral research associate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. At ORNL, working with the Scientific Computing Group, he optimized Raptor, a combustion code from Sandia National Laboratories, for Summit’s architecture.

Kalyan obtained his doctoral degree in aerospace engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and Bachelor of Technology degree in aerospace engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. He is a senior member of AIAA and a member of the combustion institute.
