Jeff is an HPC Storage Systems Engineer works with the Storage Team of the High-Performance Computing and Data Operations Group.

Jeff has in-depth experience developing and operating software in a High-Performance Computing environment, specifically focused on weather modelling and data post-processing. He has over five years’ experience as a Weather Model Software Developer with the United States Air Force. During his time with the Air Force, he successfully transitioned the Air Force between multiple new data solutions, increasing the data density of the Air Force’s weather observation integration system, which increased forecast accuracy. Jeff developed a new weather model management solution, replacing 25-year-old code and reducing downtime more than 60 percent. He was also responsible for the Air Force’s next generation global weather model deployment, which was delivered on time despite a five-month hardware delay. Additionally, he was part of a three-man team responsible for the development and operation of Air Force Weather’s first new in-house weather data post-processor in nearly twenty years.
