James is a Software Engineer currently working with the Software Services Development group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).

Originally from the United Kingdom, he earned a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Bristol in 2017 and proceeded to work as a back-end web developer until moving to the United States. He has also worked on a personal project examining patterns between irregular occurrences of birds and inclement weather events.

In his free time, James is an avid birder, having worked on local bird counts with the Tennessee Ornithological Society. Alongside this, he enjoys hiking and exploring new places in which to identify and appreciate the local biodiversity.
