Greg Shutt supports NCCS as a Linux Systems Engineer in the Application Development and Access Group. Greg is a former member of the CADES team, where he focused on storage for high performance computing. Prior to joining ORNL, Greg spent nearly 10 years running his own software consulting business in Knoxville. He worked on projects ranging from nuclear material handling software to designing flexible ZFS-based storage devices to designing and fabricating hardware for specialized equipment tracking.

Greg has an M.S. degree in Computer Science and a B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Tennessee. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, working on cars, tinkering with electronics, and traveling.
