Background
Ethan is a HPC Storage Engineer within NCCS. He is a new member to the storage Scratch team, specializing in performant and reliable Lustre and GPFS filesystems.
Prior to Oak Ridge, Ethan was a student at Michigan Technological University, located in Michigan’s scenic Upper Peninsula. Having survived the harsh winters, he graduated Spring 2023 with a B.S. in Computer Networking and Systems Administration and a minor in Cybersecurity.
During his time as a MTU student, Ethan acquired technical experience from IT-Service and System Administration roles. Various skills were obtained from these roles, notably IT infrastructure automation.
Outside of the lab, Ethan enjoys weightlifting and training Jiu Jitsu. Other hobbies include building water-cooled PCs, automotive detailing, and exploring the outdoors with his wife.
