Background

Dale is an R&D staff member within the Advanced Data and Workflows Group where he develops and integrates innovative HPC software technologies that enhance, automate, and extend the data and computational capabilities available to researchers at the OLCF. Dale has special interest in data quality and life-cycle management, cross-facility workflow integration and automation. and tools to improve the repeatability of (computational) science.

Dale is fluent in many programming languages and software technologies, but specializes in high-performance, systems-level C/C++ development. His areas of expertise include high-performance search engines, scalable/distributed graph technologies, message-oriented-middlewares, and near-real-time data streaming and analytics. Dale is able to quickly learn new problem domains and to effectively bridge the gap between domain researchers and the solution space.
