Cara L. Kennedy is a Project Management Assistant with the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility. Her primary role is to process project and account requests for users that are applying for access to the leadership-class HPC systems in NCCS.
Cara has 25 years of administrative experience in a variety of settings, from industrial cleaning to food service distribution. From 2005–2016, she was the program coordinator for the Building Trades Medical Screening Program operated by Zenith American Solutions where she performed administrative duties that supported its objectives of identifying health problems related to worker exposure to hazardous substances at DOE sites.
She now maintains accounts on the OLCF’s computing resources, coordinating with internal divisions to ensure compliance with DOE’s regulations. She also serves as a tour coordinator for NCCS. When she is not working, Cara volunteers with Tennessee Disaster Relief and Children’s Bible Ministries.
