Background
Nick Schmitt is a DevOps Engineer in the HPC Infrastructure and Networking group under the National Center for Computational Sciences (NCCS) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Within HPC Infrastructure and Networking, Nick works to support the division’s OpenShift offering called Slate, which provides a Platform-as-a-Service supporting both user and staff projects to deploy and operate stateful services such as scientific workflows, databases, and data portals in NCCS.
