USER ASSISTANCE CENTER SCHEDULE
The User Assistance Center will be closed on Thursday, November 24
and Friday, November 25 due to ORNL-observed holidays. The normal
user assistance schedule will resume on Monday, November 28.

CALL FOR PAPERS FOR PASC17 CONFERENCE
The Platform for Advanced Scientific Computing (PASC) is inviting
submissions for the PASC17 Conference, co-sponsored by the
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and SIGHPC, which will
be held at the Palazzo dei Congressi in Lugano, Switzerland, from
June 26 to 28, 2017. The PASC Conference is an interdisciplinary
event in high performance computing that brings together domain
science, applied mathematics and computer science – where computer
science is focused on enabling the realization of scientific
computation. The PASC17 papers program is soliciting high-quality
contributions of original research relating to high performance
computing in eight domain-specific tracks: Chemistry and Materials,
Climate and Weather, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics,
Emerging Domains in HPC, Engineering, Life Sciences, Physics, and
Solid Earth Dynamics. For more information, visit

OLCF USER CONFERENCE CALL (DEC 14)
The December OLCF User Conference Call will be held at noon (Eastern
Time) on Wednesday, December 14. The call will include a “Getting
Started with ADIOS” presentation by Norbert Podhorszki. Details of

GETTING STARTED AT OLCF WEBINAR (JAN 13)
Registration is underway for the next OLCF Getting Started webinar.
This 1.5-hour webinar covers the basics you’ll need to get up and
running on OLCF resources. It is geared especially for new users,
but it may serve as a good refresher to all. For more information
