Did You Know

New User Training
Any time you need it!

If you were unable to attend our new user training, no problem, we have you covered. You can go to https://www.olcf.ornl.gov/calendar/frontier-training-workshop-february-2024/ to view the agenda, slides, and the recording of the training talks. This training gave overviews of Summit and Frontier and how to submit jobs on each. We also covered best practices for getting help and using the center in general, and how to use the filesystems, including new tips about how to avoid file lock contention on Orion

Upcoming Downtimes

Andes, Alpine2, DTN, Frontier, Frontier-SPI, Jupyter, Marble, HPSS, Orion, Summit, and Summit-SPI will be unavailable from 8:00 AM until 11:59 PM on Tuesday, March 19

Center Announcements

New Conda/Python Modules on Frontier and Summit

The OLCF is happy to announce a conda module available on Frontier and Summit based on Miniforge (https://github.com/conda-forge/miniforge). Miniforge is similar to our older Anaconda modules but targets the conda-forge channel by default. See our documentation for more details about module usage: https://docs.olcf.ornl.gov/software/python/index.html

Current Python workflows are not impacted and do not need to be changed. However, users are still recommended to use the new Miniforge module if possible.
