DEFAULT MODULE CHANGES ON TITAN (JAN 16)
New versions of software have been installed on Titan and will be
set as default on January 16 unless issues are reported. Users
are encouraged to use the new versions and report issues to
help@olcf.ornl.gov. To view a list of the new software versions,

ASCR LEADERSHIP COMPUTING CHALLENGE (ALCC) CALL FOR PROPOSALS
The 2018 Call for Proposals for the ALCC program is now open.
Open to scientists from the research community in industry,
academia, and national laboratories, the ALCC program allocates
up to 30% of the computational resources at the OLCF for special
situations of interest to the Department’s energy mission, with an
emphasis on high-risk, high-payoff simulations. Applications are
due on February 1, 2018 at 11:59 PM EST.

PASC18 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The Platform for Advanced Scientific Computing (PASC) is pleased
to announce that submissions are open for the PASC18 Conference,
co-sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
Submissions are invited for papers, mini-symposia and poster
presentations. PASC18 will be held from July 2 to 4, 2018, at the
Congress Center Basel, Switzerland. For more information, please

GETTING STARTED AT OLCF WEBINAR (JAN 10)
The next OLCF Getting Started Webinar will be held from 1:00 PM
until 2:30 PM on Wednesday, January 10. This webinar covers the
basics you’ll need to get up and running on OLCF resources. It
is geared especially for new users, but it may serve as a good
