OLCF Ticket System Updates
OLCF will transition to a new ticket system (Jira) on Tuesday, January 5. We do not anticipate this change to impact users but we wanted to let you know since email responses to new tickets will have a different look and may show up as coming from a new email address ( You should continue to submit new issues to Additionally, you can respond to any issue (either existing ones or newly submitted ones) by simply replying to one of the emails you’ve received from us related to the issue.

User Assistance Center Schedule
The User Assistance Center will be closed on Friday, January 1 due to an ORNL-observed holiday. The ORNL Computer Operations Staff will remain available for limited troubleshooting 24 hours a day.

Jupyter Service at OLCF
OLCF now provides a Jupyter service that allows users to easily explore data and create computational notebooks. Active projects can access the service via Documentation is available at As always, if you have any questions or problems, please contact

Andes Is Available; Rhea Will Be Decommissioned
As a reminder, Andes, our new data analysis cluster, is now available for use. Andes has 704 nodes with 2 AMD EPYC 7302 16-core processors and 256 GB of memory along with the 9 nodes from the older rhea-gpu partition. Andes can be accessed at and a user guide is available at

With the availability of Andes, our previous data analysis system, Rhea, will be decommissioned on January 15, 2021. Although Rhea remains available until then, we encourage you to move your work to Andes immediately.
