OLCF User Conference Call (Dec 6) – Quantum Computing User Program

The December OLCF User Conference Call will be held from noon until 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday, December 6. During this call, ORNL’s Michael Sandoval will give an overview of the Quantum Computing User Program (QCUP) at OLCF. For more information, see the event page at https://www.olcf.ornl.gov/calendar/userconcall-dec2023/

Globus V5 Transition (Dec 18)
Globus will no longer support transfers through Globus Connect Server version 4 after December 18.  All external transfers must transition to the Globus Connect Server version 5 prior to December 18.   To aid in this transition, new version 5 endpoints are now available named “OLCF DTN (v5)” and “OLCF HPSS (v5)”.  All external transfers must transition to the “OLCF DTN (v5)” and “OLCF HPSS (v5)” endpoints before December 18.  Please begin using the V5 endpoints now and report any issues to help@olcf.ornl.gov.  Internal transfers from Alpine to Orion may continue using the existing endpoint through the end of the calendar year.

Last day to run jobs on Summit (Dec 18)
The last day to run jobs against your 2023 Summit allocation will be December 18. More details can be found on: https://docs.olcf.ornl.gov/systems/2023_olcf_system_changes.html

Alpine unmounted from Summit and Andes on December 19
Alpine will be unmounted from Andes and Summit on December 19. The filesystem will then be decommissioned on January 01, 2024. Andes Batch jobs must migrate to the Orion filesystem prior to Dec 18.

OLCF Alpine filesystem will be decommissioned in 4 weeks

The Alpine file system will be decommissioned in 4 weeks.  Data remaining on Alpine will be permanently deleted on January 01, 2024.  We strongly urge you to migrate any needed data now.
