OLCF USER CONFERENCE CALL
OLCF User Conference Calls will not be held in October and November. Please continue to monitor the OLCF Weekly Update for important center announcements as well as information about future OLCF User Conference Calls.

PROGRAMMING METHODS FOR SUMMIT’S MULTI-GPU NODES – PRESENTED BY NVIDIA (NOV 5)
The Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) will host a workshop on programming methods for targeting Summit’s multi-GPU nodes on November 5, 2018. Local NVIDIA representatives Jeff Larkin and Steve Abbott will demonstrate how using resource sets (via jsrun) can make the transition from Titan to Summit simpler, how this simple approach can lead to portability issues, and how it’s possible to fully take advantage of Summit’s nodes with CUDA-aware MPI and GPU Direct. If you would like more information, or to register, please visit the event page.

SUMMIT TRAINING WORKSHOP (DEC 3-6)
On December 3-6, 2018, the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) will host a Summit Training Workshop at the Crowne Plaza hotel in downtown Knoxville, TN. This event is meant to help new Summit users (or those intending to use Summit) get up and running on the system. Each day will consist of presentations in the morning followed by hands-on sessions in the afternoons. The presentations are meant to deliver relevant information about the system, while the hands-on sessions are intended to help participants get their own codes running on Summit. OLCF staff and our vendor partners will be available to help during the hands-on sessions. For more information or to register, visit the event page.
