January 2024 OLCF User Conference Call
January 31 – INCITE User Experience Talk

The January OLCF User Conference Call will be held from noon until 1:00 PM Eastern Time on Wednesday, January 31st. During this call, OLCF/INCITE user Philipp Grete will give an overview of their experiences running at scale on Frontier. For more information, see the event page at

Call for Abstracts for Quantum Computing User Forum

The Quantum Computing User Forum will be held August 12-15, 2024 in Oak Ridge, TN. The forum serves to foster engagement between users, vendors, and subject matter experts from national laboratories, industry, and academia. The agenda will consist of invited and contributed talks from the diversity of users represented by the Quantum Computing User Program (QCUP). A summary of last year’s event is available online. The call for abstracts for contributed talks and posters is now open.

All QCUP users are eligible to submit before the deadline of March 15, 2024. Submissions must indicate the QCUP project ID and abstract summary to be considered. Additional online information may be submitted by providing the DOI number, e.g., from publication or pre-print server. March Frontier Hackathon
Application Deadline February 4

The OLCF, in collaboration with HPE and AMD, is pleased to announce a (virtual) 4-day Frontier Hackathon during the week of March 4, 2024. Specific dates will be announced after teams are selected. Application/software teams with existing Frontier allocations are invited to submit short proposals to participate in the hackathon. DD projects aiming for future INCITE or ALCC projects are encouraged to apply. This is a chance to work with High-Performance Computing experts from AMD, HPE, and OLCF to clear hurdles you have been having with your code’s performance or functionality. The application deadline is February 4.

OLCF New User Training
Virtual via Zoom
February 28, 2024. 1:00  PM – 4:30 PM (ET)

The Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) will host a virtual New User Training Workshop on February 28, 2024. This event is meant to help new Frontier and Summit+ users learn how to run on the OLCF system. The workshop will feature presentations and demonstrations from OLCF staff.
