September OLCF User Conference Call (Sep 29)
The September OLCF User Conference Call will be held at noon (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, September 29. During the call, OLCF’s Jamie Finney will provide an overview of OLCF’s User Managed Software (UMS) Program. CUDA Graphs Webinar (Oct 13)
NVIDIA will present “CUDA Graphs” on Wednesday, October 13 from 1 PM to 3 PM (Eastern Time). This event is a continuation of the CUDA Training Series (https://www.olcf.ornl.gov/cuda-training-series/) and will be presented by Matt Stack from NVIDIA. This presentation will demonstrate how to use CUDA Graphs in an application and discuss in what circumstances an application speedup may be obtained using them, followed by hands-on exercises. HPC Best Practices Webinar (Oct 13)
The IDEAS Productivity project, in partnership with the DOE Computing Facilities of the ALCF, OLCF, and NERSC and the DOE Exascale Computing Project (ECP) run a webinar series on Best Practices for HPC Software Developers. The October webinar will be presented by David Richards of LLNL and is titled Migrating to Heterogeneous Computing: Lessons Learned in the Sierra and El Capital Centers of Excellence. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm ET. Deep Learning at Scale (Oct 28)
OLCF will present Deep Learning at Scale from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, October 28. In this tutorial, an overview of deep learning communication libraries will be given. Discussions will cover the practice and performance of distributed deep learning on Summit. A hands-on session will cover examples of parallelizing serial training codes, and profiling and optimizing the performance. Participants must have an account on Summit to participate in the hands-on part of the tutorial.
