CENTER ANNOUNCEMENTS
NOTABLE SYSTEM CHANGES IN 2019
On February 25, 2019, we notified users of several notable system changes coming in 2019. The last day to submit jobs to Titan and Eos will be June 30th. Atlas will be made read-only on August 1 and all data will be permanently deleted on August 15. We strongly encourage users to begin moving data out of that filesystem and onto the newer Alpine filesystem or to some alternate locate as soon as possible. If you have questions about data movement, please contact help@olcf.ornl.gov. For more information, please see the 2019 OLCF System Decommissions and Notable Changes page on the OLCF website.
2019 OLCF USER MEETING
The Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) is pleased to announce the 2019 OLCF User Meeting will be held May 21-23 at Oak Ridge National Lab in Oak Ridge, TN. The purpose of the annual user meeting is to share selected computational science and engineering achievements emerging from OLCF’s user programs, to enable direct interactions among users, advance OLCF’s relationships with our user community, and highlight computational requirements for the future. Highlights of the meeting include paired talks from OLCF users and application developers, plenary talks, updates from center staff, a poster session, OLCF User Group Executive Board elections, and tours of OLCF. Additionally, OLCF will offer training on the Monday prior to the meeting for those interested. For more information or to register, please visit the event page.

FEBRUARY OLCF USER CONFERENCE CALL
FEBRUARY OLCF USER CONFERENCE CALL (FEB 27)
Thanks for joining us for our February OLCF User Conference Call, which included a discussion of Advanced On-Node GPU Communication by NVIDIA’s Stephen Abbott. The call video will be uploaded to the OLCF Training Channel on Vimeo (https://vimeo.com/olcf). The slides (and a link to the video) will be uploaded to the event page.
PERFORMANCE PORTABILITY WITH KOKKOS BOOTCAMP (MAR 26-29)
The next Performance Portability with Kokkos Bootcamp will be held at the Oakland Conference Center in Oakland, CA from March 26-29, 2019. This workshop is intended to teach new Kokkos users how to get started and to help existing Kokkos users to further improve their codes. The training will cover the minimum required topics to get your application started on using Kokkos, and Kokkos experts will be on hand to help the more advanced users. For more information, see https://www.exascaleproject.org/event/ppkb2019/.
KOKKOS USER GROUP MEETING (APR 23-24)
The Kokkos project will hold its first User Group meeting April 23-24, 2019 at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM. This will include user reports from applications using various parts of the Kokkos frameworks, as well as discussions about upcoming features and project roadmaps. Both current and prospective users of Kokkos are encouraged to attend in order to learn how others are using Kokkos, get their questions answered by the development team, and to provide feedback for prioritizing upcoming work on the Kokkos project.
For more information and registration, visit the Kokkos User Meeting page.
INTRODUCTION TO SUMMIT WORKSHOP (MAY 20)
The OLCF will host an Introduction to Summit workshop on Monday, May 20, 2019 from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
