February OLCF User Conference Call (Feb 24)
The February OLCF User Conference Call will be held at noon (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, February 24. The training topic for this call is “OLCF Best Practices/OLCF Overview for New Users” and will be led by several OLCF staff members. Quantum Machine Learning Hackathon: QHack 2021 (Feb 17-26)
Xanadu Quantum Technologies invites participation in their upcoming Quantum Machine Learning (QML) hackathon, QHack 2021. The event will include streaming talks as well as an online hackathon using real hardware provided by world-leading providers. Registration for the event is free. OLCF @ SIAM CSE21
Are you attending SIAM CSE21? Join the OLCF at the following events:

  • On March 3, 2021, the OLCF will participating in the SIAM CSE21 Virtual Career Fair. For more information and to register, please see https://www.siam.org/conferences/cm/program/career-fair/cse21-career-fair
  • On March 4, 2021, as part of the Broader Engagement (BE) program at SIAM CSE21, the Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) will hold a hands-on minitutorial with the Summit supercomputer for conference attendees. Participants will learn about the Summit architecture, learn how research teams write programs for and run workloads on Summit, and get to work through fun challenge problems on their own on the Ascent training system. 2021 GPU Hackathons
The 2021 NVIDIA GPU Hackathon series is now open. Events that will be supported by the OLCF (computing resources, mentors, etc.) are marked with the OLCF logo at https://www.gpuhackathons.org/events. The next two OLCF-supported (virtual) hackathons will be:

  – Argonne National Laboratory on April 20, 27-29 (deadline to apply is February 19)

  – San Diego Supercomputer Center on May 4, 11-13 (deadline to apply is March 4)
