CENTER ANNOUNCEMENTS
USER ASSISTANCE CENTER SCHEDULE
The User Assistance Center will be closed on Monday, December 24; Tuesday, December 25; and Tuesday, January 1 due to ORNL-observed holidays. The normal user assistance schedule will be observed on other days. NOTE: The ORNL Computer Operations staff will still be available for limited troubleshooting 24 hours a day.
PASC19 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
The Platform for Advanced Scientific Computing (PASC) is pleased to announce that submissions are open for the PASC19 Conference, co-sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and SIGHPC. Submissions are invited for papers, minisymposia and poster presentations. PASC19 will be held from June 12-14 2019 at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. For more information, please visit the conference website.
The deadline for posters is January 13, 2019 and the deadline for papers is January 15, 2019.
GLOBUS ENDPOINT NAME CHANGE
Yesterday, the “OLCF Atlas” Globus endpoint was renamed “OLCF DTN”. This is to more clearly reflect that it is an endpoint on the Data Transfer Nodes (which include filesystems other than lustre/atlas). There was no impact to any transfers in progress. You will simply need to use the OLCF DTN endpoint name the next time you set up a Globus transfer.
