Exascale Computing Project Community BOF Days (Mar 30-Apr 1)
The Exascale Computing Project (ECP) is hosting Community Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) Days from March 30 – April 1. These community BOFs will provide an opportunity for the HPC community to engage with ECP teams to discuss their latest development efforts. Each of the 13 BOFs will be a 90-minute session, with a brief overview followed by Q&A. For more information please visit https://www.exascaleproject.org/event/ecp-community-bof-days-2021/.

OLCF User Conference Call (Mar 31)
The March call is scheduled for Wednesday, March 31 and will include an overview of the NVIDIA RAPIDS ecosystem. Details of that call will be available at https://www.olcf.ornl.gov/calendar/userconcall-mar2021/.
HPCToolkit Training (Mar 29 & Apr 2)
The developers of HPCToolkit from Rice University will present a 2-part training series for NERSC and OLCF users about using HPCToolkit to measure and analyze the performance of GPU-accelerated applications. The training will be from 1-3 PM (Eastern Time) on March 29 and April 2. See https://www.olcf.ornl.gov/hpctoolkit to register.
2021 GPU Hackathons
The 2021 NVIDIA GPU Hackathon series is now open. Events that will be supported by the OLCF (computing resources, mentors, etc.) are marked with the OLCF logo at https://www.gpuhackathons.org/events. The next two OLCF-supported (virtual) hackathons will be:
– Princeton University on June 2, 8-10 (deadline to apply is March 12)
– NERSC on July 19, 26-28 (deadline to apply is May 19)
Upcoming Scheduled Outages
All OLCF systems will be unavailable on Tuesday, March 16. HPSS will be unavailable beginning at 7:00 AM. Other systems (Summit, Andes, the Data Transfer Nodes, and the Alpine filesystem) will be unavailable beginning at 8:00 AM. All systems will return to service at 8:00 PM.
