MEETINGS & WORKSHOPS
OCTOBER OLCF USER CONFERENCE CALL (OCT 30)
Thanks for joining us for the October OLCF User Conference Call, which featured a presentation on Distributed Deep Learning on Summit by Dr. Brad Nemanich and Dr. Bryant Nelson, both of IBM. The slide deck has been uploaded to the event page, and a link to the call video on the OLCF Training Channel on Vimeo will be added to the event page when the video is available.
As a reminder, we will not host a User Conference Call in November. The next call is planned for December 11. More information about that call will be given in future weekly messages.
BEST PRACTICES FOR HPC SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS WEBINAR (DEC 11)
The IDEAS Productivity project, in partnership with the DOE Computing Facilities of the ALCF, OLCF, and NERSC and the DOE Exascale Computing Project (ECP) has resumed the webinar series on Best Practices for HPC Software Developers, which we began in 2016. As part of this series, we offer one-hour webinars on topics in scientific software development and high-performance computing, approximately once a month. The next webinar is titled Building Community through xSDK Software Policies, and will be presented by Ulrike Meier Yang (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory) and Piotr Luszczek (The University of Tennessee, Knoxville). The webinar will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm ET. See the webinar page for more info.
