CENTER ANNOUNCEMENTS

APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR BETTER SCIENTIFIC SOFTWARE FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Do you have something to share with the scientific software community? Do you have a passion to learn and teach others about better software? Are you affiliated with a US-based institution that can receive funding from the US Department of Energy? If so, consider applying for a Better Scientific Software (BSSw) Fellowship. Fellows receive an award of up to $25,000 that can be used for an activity that promotes better scientific software, such as organizing a workshop or tutorial, or creating content to engage the scientific software community.

EOS DEFAULT MODULE CHANGES (OCT 15)
New versions of software have been installed on Eos and will be set as default on October 15 unless issues are reported. Users are encouraged to use the new versions and report issues to help@olcf.ornl.gov. To view a list of the new software versions, please visit the Software News page.

SEPTEMBER OLCF USER CONFERENCE CALL (SEP 26)
Thanks for joining us for the September OLCF User Conference Call. During the call, OLCF’s Jack Morrison presented jsrunVisualizer, a utility to help users better understand various options for the jsrun command on Summit. If you were unable to attend and would like to view the presentation, or if you attended and would like to review things, the slides have been uploaded to the event page. OCTOBER HPC BEST PRACTICES WEBINAR (OCT 17)
The next HPC Best Practices Webinar, “Open Source Best Practices:From Continuous Integration to Static Linters”, will be presented from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Wednesday, Oct 17.
