MEETINGS & WORKSHOPS
OLCF USER CONFERENCE CALL (JUL 25)
Thanks for joining us for the July OLCF User Conference Call, which featured a discussion of OLCF’s new Python Infrastructure led by Matt Belhorn. If you missed the call or if you’d like to review the information, the slides will be uploaded to the event page. The video will be uploaded to our OLCF Training Channel on Vimeo and a link to that video will be added to the event page as well.
BEST PRACTICES FOR HPC SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS WEBINAR (AUG 8)
The August IDEAS-ECP Best Practices for HPC Software Developers webinar, “Software Sustainability – Lessons Learned from Different Disciplines”, will be presented by Neil Chue Hong of the Software Sustainability Institute. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 12:00 pm ET. For more information or to register, visit https://www.exascaleproject.org/event/softwaresustainability/.
SCORE-P/VAMPIR WORKSHOP (AUG 17)
The Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) will host a workshop on August 17, 2018 to show users how to profile applications using Score-P and Vampir. These two tools are usually used together; Score-P is used to collect performance data from an application and Vampir is then used to visualize the data. The workshop will begin with presentations to introduce the Score-P and Vampir tools as well as some demonstrations on using them. Afterward, there will be a hands-on session where participants will be given an example application to profile or they can profile their own applications. The workshop will be led by OLCF’s Ronny Brendel. The deadline to register is August 7, 2018. For more information or to apply, please visit the event page.
