2018 OLCF User Meeting

The Oak Ridge Leadership Computing Facility (OLCF) is pleased to announce the 2018 OLCF User Meeting will be held May 15-17 at Oak Ridge National Lab in Oak Ridge, TN. The purpose of the annual user meeting is to share selected computational science and engineering achievements emerging from OLCF’s user programs, to enable direct interactions among users, advance OLCF’s relationships with our user community, and highlight computational requirements for the future.

Tthe INCITE program invites you to participate in an INCITE Proposal Writing Webinar. Free and open to the public, the webinars will provide both prospective and returning users the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance on how to write an effective INCITE proposal.

Introduction to HPC

The OLCF will host an Introduction to High Performance Computing workshop on June 26-28, 2018. This training will cover basic skills, such as UNIX and vim text editor, before moving on to parallel programming and GPU computing.

Performance Portability with Kokkos (2018)

The OLCF will host a Kokkos training event organized by the Exascale Computing Project (ECP) on July 24-27, 2018. This training will cover the minimum required topics to get your application started on using Kokkos.

2018 GPU Hackathons

General-purpose Graphics Processing Units (GPGPUs) potentially offer exceptionally high memory bandwidth and performance for a wide range of applications. The challenge in utilizing such accelerators has been learning how to program them. These hackathons are intended to help overcome this challenge for new GPU programmers and also to help existing GPU programmers to further optimize their applications. Any and all GPU programming paradigms are welcome.
